Top tips for your team

Bring your A-Team!

Bring a mix of hiring managers, future colleagues and founders/heads of department. It gives a good cross-section of the company and the culture you’ve got. Above all else attendees want to meet the teams they’ll be working with!

Plan a strategy

Each team pass gets you up to 150 conversations each day. Brief your team and nail your tactics for the day – being efficient with your time at the event will enable you to have as many great conversations as possible, and it will ultimately give yourself the best chance of making multiple hires.

Organise your team to there’s hiring managers at the front, a feel for the culture in the middle and decision makers at the back. It allows you to take attendees through the hiring process on the day.

TACTICAL TIP: Some teams split up at their stand. One team take the ‘front-line’, chatting with candidates and filtering the best people through to the team at the back who are ready for a more in-depth conversations (or a first-stage interview!).

Take advantage of the breaks between sessions

Use the breaks in between each session to review the conversations you’ve just had and make a note of who particularly stood out so you can prioritise getting back to them on Monday. Even better.. follow up with them there and then – the chances are, if you like them, someone else will too!

Following up whilst still at the event for an interview to be scheduled the following week has the potential to really impress candidates. Oh yeah, free wifi, hot drinks and snacks throughout the day should help!
