By registering as a Candidate on our site you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this policy.

1  Information we may collect from you

1.1  We may collect and process the following data about you:

1.1.1  Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our site (“our site”) or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you:  register as a Candidate (Candidate is the term we use for a person registering on our site to attend one of our events);  apply for an invitation to one of our events, including provision of Profile information (Profile information is provided by Candidates who have registered on our site and is described in the Candidate Terms and Conditions);  subscribe to any service we offer through our site;  participate in discussion boards or other social media functions on our site;  enter a competition, promotion or survey;  build a shortlist of attractive job opportunities or companies you might want to work for; or  report a problem or raise a complaint.

The information you give us may include your name, address, e-mail address and phone number, personal description, information concerning your work and skills experience, and photograph.
1.1.2  Information we collect about you. With regard to each of your visits to our site we may automatically collect the following information:  technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer or device to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;  information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our site (including date and time); services you viewed or searched for; page response times, data transferred and status responses, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page.

1.2  Information we receive from other sources. We may receive information about you if you use any of the other websites we operate or the other services we provide. In this case we will have informed you when we collected that data that it may be shared internally and combined with data collected on this site. We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, subcontractors in technical services, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them.

3.1  We use information held about you in the following ways:

3.1.1  Information you give to us. We will use this information:  to carry out our obligations arising between you and us and to provide you with the information and services that you request from us;  where you have registered as a Candidate, we will use your Profile information and any other personal information you give us to:  evaluate your application to attend one of our events;  contact you in relation to your application to attend one of our events, including correspondence relating to e-tickets and event information;  to communicate with you in other ways that we think will be useful to you in relation to your attendance at one of our events;  to provide you with information about other services or events we offer that are similar to those that you have already applied for, attended or enquired about where you have indicated to us that you permit us to do this;  to provide you, or permit selected third parties to provide you, with information about goods or services we feel may interest you.  We (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this by ticking the relevant box situated on the form on which we collect your data;  to notify you about changes to our service or any event which you have applied to attend; and  to ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer or device.

3.1.2  Information we collect about you. We will use this information:  to administer our site and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, research, statistical and survey purposes;  to improve our site to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;  to allow you to participate in interactive features of our service, when you choose to do so;  as part of our efforts to keep our site safe and secure;  to measure or understand the effectiveness of advertising we serve to you and others, and to deliver relevant advertising to you; and  to make suggestions and recommendations to you and other users of our site about goods or services that may interest you or them.

4  Disclosure of your information

4.1  We may share your personal information with any member of our group, which mean our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1159 of the UK Companies Act 2006.
4.2  We may share your information with selected third parties including:

4.2.1  Trusted subcontractors, freelancers, suppliers, and partners, who will be bound by confidentiality agreements with us, for the purpose of doing their work for us.

4.2.2  We do not share Profile information with any third parties and we only use it to evaluate your application to attend any of our events and to communicate with you in other ways that we think will be useful to you in relation to your attendance at one of our events. However we do anonymize and aggregate Profile information from our Candidates to use for our own business purposes and we may supply such anonymized and aggregated Profile information to third parties.

4.3  We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

4.3.1  In the event that we sell any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective buyer of such business or assets.

4.3.2  If Milkroundabout Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers, or Candidates will be one of the transferred assets.

4.4  If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Website Terms of Use or Candidate Terms and Conditions other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Milkroundabout Limited, our customers, Candidates or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

5  Where we store your personal data

5.1  The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.  We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
5.2  All information you provide to us is stored on servers, which have been designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorised access, use, alteration and disclosure. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
5.3  Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.  Notwithstanding the foregoing, we are not liable for any harm or loss caused by or related to the theft or disclosure of your Profile information and password, or your authorization to allow another person to access and use our Site with your Profile information and password.
5.4  You can review and change your personal information by logging into our site and visiting your Profile.  You may also send us an e-mail at [email protected] to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. Proper access and use of information provided on our site, including your content, is governed by our Website Terms of Use.

6.1  You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing or promotional purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. 6.3  If you attend one of our events, please note that where you give any personal information to any of the exhibitors, the use of that personal information will be subject to the privacy policies and procedures of those exhibitors.  We are not responsible and liable for any of these policies.
